              Kanikkonna, the Online Malayalam Magazine is published by Smt Sreeparvathy, aged 26 years, W/o Shri K P Jayesh (Unni), residing at Kancharakkaattu Mana, Thamarakkaad, Veliyannur, Kotayam District, Kerala State.  The Magazine is published in Malayalam language, on behalf of Shri K P Jayesh (Unni), aged 35 years, S/o late Shri Parameswaran Nampoothiri, Managing Director, Kanikkonna Media Group, residing at the above address, for the promotion of upcoming writers in Malayalam by giving maximum opportunity to publish their literary works in Malayalam.  For this purpose, the Magazine has adopted the following policies, rules and regulations:

1)   That the Publisher has full authority to take any decision based on the advices given by the Advisory Body.  The Publisher is also authorized to positively amend or delete any of these policies, rules and regulations or add new policies, rules and regulations from time to time for proper functioning of the magazine.

2)   That the members of the Advisory Body, Team of Sub Editors and all other functionaries may be changed from time to time, if necessary.  This can be done only on the basis of the decision taken in a meet of all existing bodies and teams and all other functionaries.  Online meeting can also be arranged on necessity for this and any other purpose.  The Publisher is authorized to schedule such meet at any time giving reasonable time for members to attend in person, if necessary.  At present the committees and members are:

3.     That the wing of Sub Editors is lead by the Chief and Managing Editor, and together known as Team of Editors.  This Team is authorised to

1. Receive the matters for publication

2. Scrutinising them and

3. Updating the magazine

4.      That the matter sent to the magazine for publication must

1.      Be the original work of the author;

2.      Include No Objection Certificate, if the work is translation;

3.      Include all the details of the writer, with his/her address;

4.      Not be published anywhere, including the personal blog of the sender or any other. If so published, it must be deleted before sending;

5.      Not publish anywhere for the next one week after getting published it in the magazine;

6.      Not be violating of any existing Law of the State.

5.     That the rights on published matter during the period of publication will be vested with the magazine. Normally the period of publication is one week and it can be extended up to two weeks on the discretion of the editor.

6.     That the decision once taken by the Team of Editors on the matters sent to them for publication shall be final and the same will be informed accordingly to the persons concerned.

7.     That the ‘Kanikkonna E-Publications’ is a sister concern of this Magazine, which is managed by the ‘Kanikkonna Media Group’. This is an independent, separate unit to publish the work of the writers, who wish to publish it in the form of E-Books. Matters sent to the magazine for publishing in it will not be considered for the publication under this unit and/or the matters sent to this unit will not be considered for the publication in the magazine, until and unless the written consent given by the author concerned. The standards meant for the selection of matters to the magazine will also be applicable in this unit also for the selection of matters.

8.     That at present there will not be any remuneration for the authors, whose works are published as the ‘Kanikkonna Media Group’ is in its beginning stage. But this will be considered in future, when the magazine grows up.

9.    That the magazine will not be liable and legally bound for the mistakes made by authors in their works. The concerned author will be held liable for the same. No part of the magazine or E-Publishing shall be reproduced or otherwise used without prior written permission of the Publisher of the magazine or the Managing Director of the ‘Kanikonna Media Group’ unless such use is expressly permitted by applicable Law of the State. Those who are using the same without permission will be prosecuted.

10.          That the magazine can sue and be sued in the name and style of ‘Kanikonna Online Magazine’. The publisher is authorised to represent the magazine in all the judicial and other proceedings by and against the magazine before any authority. Concerned Courts at Kottayam District and High Court of Kerala have the jurisdiction for the above purpose.
